"Mine was a potentially complicated appointment as I was a recently diagnosed type 1 diabetic and the insulin had begun to affect my eyesight, and for my work, I need sharp close-up and distance vision. There was also a probability that my vision would continue to change regularly. I had a nightmare with one of the big chains last time round so was so pleased to go back to a local high street independent. The understanding of the situation, the precision and the thoroughness of the eye test, and the advice concerning lenses, frames and prescription sunglasses whilst expecting my prescription to fluctuate was second-to-none. Absolutely first rate. Far far better than the big, impersonal famous-name chains.

"Honest and professional. We called A-B-C Humane to evaluate our home for a mouse problem. They were very honest about what we could do, how effective it could be given our additional area, and what it would cost, including what we could do ourselves if we wanted to save some money. In the end, we ended up tackling the problem ourselves following their point-of-entry analysis and recommendations for trapping the mice. They are still sending us a proposal to keep in mind for the future if/when the problem gets worse or we are able to save for more drastic measures.
