Following on from our previous article, it occurred to me that some people may not quite fall in love with the taste of Matcha, despite its incredible health benefits. But, not to worry if that's the case with you - have a Matcha smoothie! Here are some recipes, kindly contributed by Katherine Swift of OMG Tea:-
OMG Tea - Matcha Green Tea Detox Smoothie Recipes
Matcha green tea is rich in nutrients, antioxidants (essential in the fight against ageing!!!), fibre and chlorophyll - it's packed with this, hence the lovely emerald green colour, which is good for cleansing and detoxifying your body.
Matcha is also amazing for boosting your immunity and increasing both your energy levels and metabolic rate.

Matcha Spinach and Kiwi Smoothie
Makes 2 smoothies
Preparation time: approx 10 mins
Ingredients:-
1 medium apple
1 kiwi
30g Spinach
280ml of water
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tbsp Matcha (OMG Tea's Premium Cooking Grade is perfect for this)
Preparation Method:
1) Core apple, peel kiwi, wash spinach and remove stalks
2) Place apple, kiwi, and spinach leaves in a blender with the remaining ingredients and blend to make a wonderful smoothie.

Fat - 0 grams
Carbohydrate - 20 grams
Protein - 1 gram
Matcha Beetroot Smoothie
Preparation time: approx 10 minutes
Ingredients:
50 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
75 grams of beetroot
200 grams of seedless red grapes
1 small apple
5 grams of ginger
125 ml water
1/2 tbsp of Matcha (OMG Tea Premium Cooking Grade perfect for this)
Honey to sweeten if preferred
Preparation method:
1) Peel and squeeze the orange/s, peel the beetroot, remove stalks from the grapes.
2) Blend the ingredients and then sweeten with honey if required

Matcha Orange Smoothie - Juicy!!!
Makes 2 smoothies
Preparation time: approx 10 minutes
Ingredients:
1/2 tbsp Matcha - OMG Tea Premium Cooking Matcha is perfect!
150ml Orange Juice - preferably freshly squeezed
1 large apple
25ml of fresh lemon juice
1-2 grams of fresh turmeric or 1/2 tsp of ground turmeric
150ml water
Preparation Method:
Peel the turmeric
Place everything together in the blender and blend!

Carbohydrate – 24 grams
Protein 2 grams
Full Blown OMG Goodness - Matcha Cucumber Smoothie with Yoghurt
Makes 2 smoothies
Preparation time: Approx 10 minutes
Ingredients:-
• 1/2 tbsp OMG Tea Organic Premium Cooking Matcha
• 1/2 cucumber
• 3 ml lemon juice
• 1 bunch fresh coriander
• 80 g of soya or greek yoghurt (unsweetened)
• 180ml water
• 1 pinch of sea salt
Preparation method:
• Peel cucumber, removed stalks from coriander and squeeze the lemon
• Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend to make the smoothie
