"Mine was a potentially complicated appointment as I was a recently diagnosed type 1 diabetic and the insulin had begun to affect my eyesight, and for my work, I need sharp close-up and distance vision. There was also a probability that my vision would continue to change regularly. I had a nightmare with one of the big chains last time round so was so pleased to go back to a local high street independent. The understanding of the situation, the precision and the thoroughness of the eye test, and the advice concerning lenses, frames and prescription sunglasses whilst expecting my prescription to fluctuate was second-to-none. Absolutely first rate. Far far better than the big, impersonal famous-name chains.

"Very friendly staff. I had a thorough eye test which was not rushed. Then I found some glasses which were expertly fitted. I know that I can go back any time to have them adjusted if I need to. It is really great to go to an independent shop in such a lovely town.
